What I meant about power i, is the advantage of using GPON to the desktop
a reduction in power because there are no access switches? The only problem
is
that now you need all of these cable modem type of devices at the desktop.
All this does
is to push the power requirement to the desktop and introduces a ton of new
devices to manage.
