I created a feature enhancement for VRF-aware syslog support in IOS 
12.4T so you can actually set the source interface.  If you interested 
in the feature, please go ahead and let your account team know or open a 
case against the enhancement ID.   The feature probably won't be 
implemented until 12.5T or later.   Support for managing a CE router via 
a separate management VRF is almost complete.
