in theory, these should be supported but I haven't tried them on this
platform.  Have you tried the following commands:

service unsupported-transceiver
no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid
errdisable recovery cause gbic-invalid

?

It would also be a good idea to talk to your account manager and SE about
why this doesn't work.
