I don't dispute that new things are available in EVC. I'm questioning if
there is there is deployment scenario where you sometimes need to config
one certain thing in EVC and sometimes in subinterface, where both support
it, but in sufficiently different way that both are needed.

If you only configure feature in subinterface or only in EVC. Then two
different subinterface config formats are not useful.
