(While these are indeed so cool that it's an instant MUST HAVE for any
decent geek, they actually *do* come in quite handy if you need a console
"somewhere in the rack" and have no space in range of your serial cable
to put your laptop, so you just wander off to a suitable spot and work
from there...)

If not on a geek show-off mission, standard USB-to-serial cable with a
handful of DB9-to-whatever adaptors.
