our Unity is a switch -- pix and switch away from our Exchange server (all in the same closet) and have had no problems. I don't know that it makes much difference.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Recommended Physical Placement of Unity Server

We have two physical locations for our VoIP hardware and our data hardware. We're about to install Unity, but was not quite sure where I should place the physical server. Should I place it in our VoIP room where the CallManagers are located or in our data room where our Exchange servers are located? Please advise on what you recommend and why. Thanks.
