Sounds like maybe you set there Call forward busy or no answer to the
switchboard and let the user set the all calls to where every they need
to forward calls to. Or if you using Unity give the caller the option
to dial 1 for the switchboard.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Call forward no answer

I have a customer with requirement (which is standard on any PBX) which
we just can't seem to get a work around...here it is

Call Forward All Calls

Call Forward Busy

Call Forward No Answer

Are standard smartKey (softKey) functionality for user on PBX.

My client runs a news business that relies on all calls if unanswered to
route back to switchboard operator, if journalist (user) moves from desk
(leaves building etc) and sets call forward to another phone or mobile
etc and then returns, they simply press the call forward smartKey and
the default setting for calls to route back to switch if unanswered is
invoked.

Hence the user never impacts on the default setting and does not have to
re-enter the destination switch extension when reactivating the default
route.

Eg In callmanager 4.1 when the user changes his settings (forward all
calls) and returns he must press call FWD softkey, and then re enter the
default switch number (extension).

Is there a workaround?

And Cisco documentation indicates that Call forward busy and call
forward no answer can be configured softkeys...yet cisco say it is not
so?
