Remote user - ie. connected via Internet access. Most likely she is
losing connection to the CA for short periods of time. I have an app
that lets me plug in remote IP's and then it reports any communication
problems with that remote site.
The app just uses ping to test every few seconds and grab the current
latencies. Oddly enough for us, the reboots *always* correspond to a
problem with the remote sites internet access.
If that is the case, then they need something that will do voice
prioritization and bandwidth shaping. The Linksys WRT54GS (for about
$90) works fairly well with some of our remote sites. The best thing is
something like MonoWall running on a local POS box doing both
prioritization and bandwidth shaping.
Good luck - Jon Carnes
