I´ve used MS Network Monitor for the capture and etheral for the
diagnostic part, but Network Monitor will not allow the network card in
promiscus mode, so you will only see traffic related to CCM mac address.

[cisco-voip] Sniffer Utility on CallManager Server
Hi VoIP Enthusiasts,
I know it is against Cisco?s best practices to co-locate third party
software on the Callmanager servers. However, we need to install some
sort of sniffer program (i.e. Ethereal 0.10.8 with WinCap 3.0) in order to
capture some much needed ?Skinny? traces. Has anyone successfully done
this (whether short-term or long-term)? Will the WinCap utility conflict
with any CallManager libraries or processes? If this is not a recommended
approach, is there a Cisco-supported sniffer tool out there that I could
install on the server?
Best regards,
Andrew Herdman
