[cisco-voip] Jitter above 170....

Well, to gather phone to phone stats (including jitter, dropped packets
etc), you should turn on Call Diagnostic Records in the service menu for
CallManager. Once turned on, every call (including those bound for
gateways) will have its QoS stats recorded, and you can at least know
which calls are bad and attempt to find a cure.

When you say "link utilization is quite normal", what are you using to
measure this? Also keep in mind, unless you're running PIX 7.x code,
you won't have QoS on the PIX which might be causing some issue.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Jitter above 170....

Voice calls quality very poor from IP phones when dialed out from one of
the buildings of the campus.

The branch office has 4506 in-line power and 4Mbps ETH termination to
main building controlled by a PIX.

>From the main building IP phones quality is fine.

I tried not to use in-line but with an adapter.

Setting phones and switch speed to static.

Tried AutoQoS option also

The link utilization is quite normal .Still making calls/conference
calls from that BLDNG gets to poor quality .Please advice...

Can we fetch the call quality from Jitter on phone ?????

Thanks ,

Rijas
