I'd like to get some opinions and examples of various designs some of
you have come across in your experiences.
We are getting ready to re-do our IPT environment following a more
"Centralized" approach. 

We are designing it with the following things in mind;

All offices under 400 users will get there call processing across the
WAN from a regional IPT cluster.
There will be 8 IPT clusters spread across the US. Those offices are
true campuses with user counts exceeding 1000 in some case.

Here is a quick breakdown of the hardware matrix for the 400 and below
