[cisco-voip] Adding new Phone in CM 4.1.3

We were never able to determine if it was the reboot or the ES that
fixed it to be honest. I was never able to get a phone with the MFG
load to test with, and since you can't go back to the MFG from a signed
load it made recreating the problem very difficult.

I deleted the phone from CM and it auto registered. So I need ES5 to
fix this issue in the future?

Do I have to open a TAC case to get it? Will it be rolled into the next
SR?

Any ES on your CM?

Try letting the phone auto-register, then change the DN. I've seen an
issue like this that had to do with the phone resetting after getting
the .cnf.xml when it should have proceeded to download the correct
load. If the phone got the new load from xmldefault.cnf.xml then it
would upgrade successfully. That customer upgraded to ES5 to fix the
change notification CFA bug and couldn't get it to break again.

If your phone really isn't getting an IP address then it's probably a
different issue. A sniffer trace should verify it.

Has anyone added a new Phone (7940) to a CM 4.1.3 install?

This is the first Phone I've installed since upgrading to 4.1.3 and for
some reason it won't boot. It gets the right vlan but won't get a DHCP
Address. Any ideas? The firmware that came on it is P0030301mfg2
