[cisco-voip] trunk group configuration

Hi
 
I have an H323 gateway with a relatively large number of dial-peers and FXO ports.  Is it possible to put all the ports in a trunk group and configure the trunk group on the dial-peer instead of the voice port?  
 
I'm thinking something along the lines of the following.
 
 
trunk group  PIA_Trunk
 hunt-scheme sequential
 
voice-port 0/3/0
 trunk-group PIA_Trunk 28
 no vad
 no comfort-noise
 connection plar opx 58700
 
dial-peer voice 1030 pots
 preference 10
 destination-pattern 9[2-9]......
 trunk-group-label target PIA_Trunk
 forward-digits 7
 
It doesn't look like this will work however since the dial-peer's operational status is down.
 
Any thoughts would be appreciated
