[cisco-voip] Why do my dialpeer pots are not active?

Hi Anthony.
First, on the 0/1/0 we have two mutually exclusive commands
Static-tei
Tei-negotiation.
Remove last of them.
So 0/1/1 work fine, I advise you change you NT1 between 0/1/1 and
0/1/0.
or just change port connections on the router.
If problem migrate to the 0/1/1 port - we can conclude, that NT1 for
0/1/0
Incorrectly configured.

Hi Konstantin,
keep in mind that 0/1/0 and 0/1/1 are configured from the telco as
point-to-point setup!! Only 0/1/1 is always active!! 0/1/0 seems
deactiveted!!
Also, last Wednsday i asked the Telco for the 0/2/0 and 0/2/1 to have
layer 1 always Up, since they are not point-to-point and they said OK.
they did and for 5 days Layer 1 was active and i had no problem with the
dialpeers. This morning they were deactivated, i called them and told
them again that i want them always Up, and they reset them!! I can't
keep my mind each day if they are up and if not call the telco to fix
them!!
Since 0/1/0 is p-t-p as 0/1/1 why it does have the same problem as 0/2/0
and 0/2/1
Bearer cap speech had to be configured since without this command,
ipphones with VTAdvantage could not initiate voice calls through the
Vgateways.

Hi,
Well,
Can you send a BRI config to this list ??
Do you talk with provider to activate BRI always ? I suppose that

Is this possible configure p2p ISDN ??

Hi,
thanks a lot. I have seen that link, i tried the command "isdn
tei-negotiation first call" but it didn't work.
I don't think that it is a problem of the BRI but of the Dial-peer.
As soon soon as the Layer 1 gets deactivated, the show dialplan number
xxx command is working for a few more minutes!!! And then, as if there
is timeout or somethng like that, the dialpeer is not found and so no
calls can be made from the specific dialpeer!!
Also, don't forget that i am always capable of making an isdn test call
and bring the interface in an Active mode. That is why i don't think
that it has something to do with the bri configuration.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Why do my dialpeer pots are not active?
Hi all,
i am running 12.3.14T7 spservices early deployment ios on a 2811 router
(but i also faced the same problem with other non deferred 12.3 ios in
2801 routers).
-There are 4 BRIs on that router.
-The show isdn status shows that Layer 1 is DEACTIVATED.
-The show dialplan number xxxx does not match any dialpeer (even though
there are 4 dialpeer pots, one for each voice-port) and so i cannot have
any outside call
-When i issue the command isdn test call interface bri 0/x/x <number>,
the interface status gets up (Layer 1 also) and the router's dialplan is
working now with no problem. Even the command show dialplan number xxx
shows the match to each dialpeer now,
-After a while, the Layer 1 gets deactiveted and the dialpeer fail to
match again and so i do not have outside calls!!
Is this a bug of the new IOS? I don't think that this behaviour occured
at oldest IOSs
Thanks
Anthony
