You can make the extension number change for all users using the bulk
edit tool.

For changing prompts, you will need to hunt through the wav files on the
Unity server and alter the one you want. There isn't an option to
change the prompts, you have to record a new one with the verbiage you
want and replace the default. Make sure you keep a backup, if you
upgrade the unity server it will get overwritten.

I have mine set to choose extension by default. I changed it in Unity
by going to Subscriber Template | Conversation, under Message
Addressing, choose Entering the extension.

About your second question, I could not find a way to change that.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity Question

When people are in voicemail, and they want to forward a message, the
voice prompts tell you to spell the name, or press some key and enter
the extension. Is there any way to make it have you enter extensions by
default? It seems we have ot listen to the whole lengthy message before
we can press # to enter by extension.

Also (this might be Unity or CCM, not sure), when people call in, we
offer them the ability to dial by name. Again, the prompt comes up and
says "Spell the last name and first name of the person you wish to
reach." Any way to have it say what it really does "Spell the first few
characters of the last name followed by #."

Thanks everyone!
