Subject: [cisco-voip] Issues transferring a call to someones voicemail
When transferring a call directly into someone's voicemail, the caller misses hearing the first part of the voice mail message: "Hello, you have reached the voice mail of _____ . . ."
The instructions for the voice mail transfer say to press the TRANSFER key quickly - but I tried a number of times and was not ever quick enough for the customer to hear the first part of the voice mail message.
It is important that the customer hear the whole voice mail message so they know they have reached the correct voice mail box. Is there a parameter that will allow us to increase the transfer delay or something? How have others found their way around this issue? Thanks in advance!
