[cisco-voip] Call transfer not working

The dialplan-pattern effects all calls routed from or to ephones over any
dial-peer (voip or pots)
I presume you route calls to your voice mail using some kind of voip
dial-peer e.g.

dial-peer voice 10 voip
  destination-pattern 999. (voice mal extension)
  session target 1.2.3.4

since every call routed from or to a ephone over a dial-peer gets treated
according to the dialplan-pattern the calling party number of the ephone-dn
(say 4444) which diverts a call to voice mail will be extended to the full
10 digit number (7035554444)
The voice mail system most likely does not have a mail box configured for
extension 7035554444 so the call gets disconnected.

To solve this problem you can either delete the dialplan-pattern and
configure the necessary number expansion for outbound calls using voice
translation profiles or leave the dialplan-pattern as is and just translate
calls directed to the voice mail.

Cheers
Patrick
