Adam,

You can use the AXL-SOAP API, which is a web service exposed via CCM, to
update the CSS on a device or line. Alternatively, you could use forced
authorization codes or extension mobility as well. It all depends on the
experience you want your user to have.

Best regards,

Louis

Subject: [cisco-voip] Changing CSS programatically?

I am trying to work with a motel operator to build a small solution for
providing call accounting and control features. We are going to write a
custom web application that queries the CDR to do the accounting part,
but I'm not sure how to go about changing the CSS (in a dummy proof way
that a front desk operator can handle) so that the phone can be set to
internal only, local or long distance access. Any ideas or suggestions?

-Adam
