[cisco-voip] Fwd: Reset 7970

If the phone does not receive a response from the DHCP it will get into
a similar state. As stated below if you leave it plugged in overnight it
should come back IF there are no other issues. The next option would be
the factory reset. Lastly RMA if neither of these work. 
 
Note all 3 of the above resolutions start with very similar symptoms.

Rob,

I have had the same thing happen and thought the phone was toast.  Leave
it plugged in and in that state over night and in the morning it might
be back up.  Atleast thats what I have found.  Otherwise call your
friends at TAC
