Assuming SCCP70.8-0-4SR3AS is configured as the default firmware load for
the 7970 on your CallManager:
1) extract the contents of the zip file to your non-cisco tftp server
2) from your workstation type ' tftp (ip address of CCM pub) get
XmlDefault.cnf.xml '
3) copy the XmlDefault.cnf.xml from your workstation to the non-cisco tftp
server
4) configure alternate tftp on the isolated 7970 to point to the non-cisco
tftp server
5) after 7970 has upgraded firmware you should reset alt. tftp back to
normal values for your network
Basically, XmlDefault.cnf.xml contains a list of all the default firmware
loads for each phone model. The 7970 will read this file, determine it
needs SCCP70.8-0-4SR3AS and download those files and upgrade firmware.
