Low sales makes sense - but the 100mb/ analog device doesn't make much
sense to me.
The 100Mb port was never there for the analog device was it? It was
there (by my way of thinking at least) for the flexibility of deploying
these usefully like an IP phone is deployed - to serve a phone/fax and a
computer.
The 186 can't be usefully deployed as anything other than an analog
hang-off device on a switch. It's why we were disappointed with the EOL
on the 188's back then.
The Linksys SIP devices offer some alternatives - but not until we move
from Cm.2 to Cm6 :-/

	To answer your question.
My SE said that Cisco has EOL'ed these due to poor sales, the
186 have a much higher sale rate, and really dont need 100mb for an
analog device.

anyone know why they EOL'ed the ata188s? especially without a
replacement?
