[cisco-voip] Call handler question - Replacing Nortel express messaging?

Chris, thanks for this reply. I'm sorry it took me so long to look into it,
but this solution does not completely address my problem. This allows me to
dial a number with some kind of prefix and be routed to a greeting. This is
impossible when I am dialing a DID number from outside my call manager.

I need a way to call a number in Unity. Once I am talking to Unity, enter an
extension (or mailbox) number and be transferred directly to the greeting
rather than ringing the phone. I have not found a way to do that. This is
a feature in Nortel Meridian Mail called "Express Messaging" which is very
useful in a lot of circumstances. We are movng from Nortel to Unity and I
have not come up with a replacement for this feature. The natives are
restless.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Call handler question

Is there a way in Unity to allow a caller to enter an extension number and
leave a message in a mailbox without ringing the phone? Nortel calls this
feature "express messaging".

In other words, I would like to use "Caller System Transfer" and go directly
to the subscribers greeting instead of transferring the call.

Is there a way to do that?
