Both excellent ideas...I feel a little safer using this second method,
though I probably shouldn't since they do the same thing.

Thanks!

Alternative approach, if u r scared of the SQL and if we can't find a
way to do the UDP's.

Do a full export of all phones and all UDP's.

Filter the output for the phones u want to change (sort in excel)

Exchange the soft key teamplate with the new name

Do a full import and check the overwrite existing config.

The export of let's say 6000 phones will take a good day or so...

Cheers

(again if u run it by the list, pls strip my email address ;) )

thx

Subject: [cisco-voip] No way to bulk update softkey template?

I'm running 6.0(1) and have been asked to remove some softkeys from a
specific group of users. I've got a new softkey template made up and
ready for them (all are device mobility users, so I think I have to
update the phone and the device profile). Unfortunately I can't find
any useful way in Bulk Admin to change softkey templates.

Anyone have any ideas short of manual edits?

JM
