Thanks. I prefer CAD as well, just looking for a short term temp
solution to get these users working until they are all on our LAN and
can access the CAD software.

Confirmed. The other option is to user a Server Load Balancer (Cisoc
CSS11000 or ACE) or Founder SLB or F5, etc. These devices monitor if
applications are in-service or out-service and front-end them.
Providing high-availability for web services would be good google
search.
The cheap way is to have both services listed on phone as your described
and end users could simply try both.
The Advantage of Cisco Agent Desktop is that they get a small pop-up at
failover and it continues...I prefer CAD over IP Phone Agent...

Can anyone confirm that to have redundancy for IP Phone agent, I will
need to add a service for each of my CRS servers (HA setup). I added it
for the primary and it works fine. I just need to finish testing it and
then we can use it for some agents who's PCs are not on our network, but
their desk phone is.
If there are two services, and a failure happens that moves service from
one server to the other, will the agent just have to logout of the
primary and log back into the secondary service.
