[cisco-voip] troubleshooting incoming calls, what traces?

I think Mike is on the right track. What digits are coming in? What
dial peers would it match, What's the CSS of the gateway. Basically
need to check it step by step and see where it's failing. Most likely
on the gateway before you hit the CCM.

I was using the 'detail' keyword in the show q931 command, now I do see
the digits coming in. And I see:
Cause i = 0x80A9 - Temporary failure
I saw an older post here where they were saying this could mean just
about anything, they were recommending to check the DSPs. My DSPs look
fine (show voice dsp group all = 0 DSP resource allocation failure), but
even if it was something with the DSP why would it happen always and
only (so far) with that one phone number? Any ideas before I get a TAC
in and they tell me to reboot the router?

Post your config (dial-peers) and the dialed number to PUCK. The isdn
debug does not appear to be complete. if you are getting a fast busy one
common issue is no or incorrect dial-peer match.

I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem with a call from the
outside not completing to a specific extension. Ext. 5555 lives on our
old PBX and it works if you call it on net (CUCM --> GW --> PBX) but if
you dial the ten digits you get a busy tone (PSTN --> GW --> CUCM --> GW
--> PBX). I can seem to be able to figure out which debug commands to
use on the GW to get this info, I don't see the digits coming through,
are there some traces I can get with rtmt? TIA.
