[cisco-voip] question about this config---

That's what I was thinking ---

MGCP and config in the CM (other gateways listed first in the Route
List) are ensuring that traffic flows.

But I figured I wasn't brain dead -- those dial peers DO point at ports
that I believe have no wiring on them!

Those would only be used in case of MGCP fail over to H323. So normal
operation would work with your CM config if you have the two ports that
have dial tone configured. But in the case of a WAN outage you would be
correct that that site would not have dial tone.

I'm looking at this and unless I'm crazy and have forgotten
basic dial peers functions, this won't do anything...

1760 outer has four FXO ports. It is running MGCP.

Note the voice ports 0/0 and 0/1 --
I'm pretty sure from last I physically saw the device, ONLY
those two ports have any wiring on them.
Ports 1/0 and 1/1 have NOTHING plugged into their jacks.

So to my way of looking at this, the dial-peers POTS 1000000 and
2000000
with a destination pattern of 9T are going to try to go out
those ports with nothing attached?

That HAS to fail, I would think... right?
