[cisco-voip] DHCP/TFTP on CUCM v7

Interesting. We have a dedicated DHCP/TFTP server, I wonder if that's what they were worried about. 

We have a central DHCP server we could use, but it would involve some work getting our network interfaces updated. 

Our central DHCP server also says it "interfaces" with Cisco CallManager for TFTP services. Which would be kinda cool. Not having to rely on one machine to do it all but a bank of TFTP/DHCP servers. 

Something to think about....I'll have to get clarification some how.

In the following PDF (at the bottom of page 3 next to UDP port 67) it states “Cisco does not recommend running DHCP server on Cisco Unified Communications Manager.”

I’ve searched previously and I can’t find any deeper detail as to why not.

I've heard differing opinions on whether DHCP and TFTP and included in CUCM v7. I have yet to install the application, and the documentation is a bit of a bird's nest. 

Are these two fundamental services offered and/or supported in CUCM v7 framework?
