[cisco-voip] Pressing Confrn Causes Call To Disconnect?

Given this: "I tried this with a remote site, cell phone, and internal
phones and it always disconnects"

I suspect you are using CM's built in software conference bridge. This
only supports G.711 codec. remote locations typically use one of the
low bitrate codecs such as G.729. This will cause a codec mismatch.

You could try change the regions configuration to allow g.711 and test.
If you want to conference remote sites you will either need a hardware
conference bridge or a transcoder located at the remote site to
transcode from 711 to 729.
