Hi Tired,

I ended up taking the UCCXD course, which is one of the better Cisco courses
I've been on. It teaches some horrible programming techniques, but it gives
you exposure to all the steps, how to develop a script, and how the system
is put together. It really was worthwhile and provided an easy ROI because
we didn't have to keep on hiring consultants to do the work after I took it.

If you go the self study route, there are 3 programmer reference guides and
an SRND that have pretty much everything you need to know.
