[cisco-voip] UCM install media question

Thanks for the input. I was hoping to save some time but turns out the media
wasn’t the version I thought it was. I had a client with a failing hard
drive on a PUB and I had to swap in a new drive, install 6.1.4aSU2 and
restore a backup. Turned out my media was just vanilla 6.1.4 and I had to
apply the 6.1.4-2190-3 patch during the install. Took me about 4 ½ hours for
the entire process but all is well.

Thanks,

FWIW if you browse the disc and go to redhat\apprpms, look for a file
starting with master and that seems to have the full version number. It
correctly matches on all the isos I have looked at.

Unfortunately the 80 level part number only reflects the major/minor/maint
version number, i.e. 6.1.4. We cannot easily say which build of 6.1.4 is on
the disk. You may be able to mount the disk, find a version number, and
match that to a version number in the tool Ryan cited.

Otherwise, just download 6.1.4a from Cisco.com.

All,

Is there somewhere that I can determine what exact version of software is on
a particular install DVD? I have a UCM 6.1(4) install disk but I’d like to
know if it is 6.1(4), 6.1(4)a, etc. There is a number “80-8958-08” with a
barcode on the disk but if I search for it I do not find anything.

Thanks,
