If you turn on the Always Use Prime Line feature (phone configuration),
it should always use her main line unless she explicitly pushes the line
button for one of the other lines.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Shared Line behavior on 7962G when call placed on
holdon other phone

CUCM 6.1.4
Phone load 8.3(2)

Admin Assistant has her own DN, then 3 shared DNs on the first four
buttons of the 7962. She finds that when a call is placed to one of the
shared DNs and one of her managers handles the call and places the call
on hold, the call becomes primary on her display, and is very difficult
to work around. She must select her own line appearance to make new
calls.

She previously had a 7960G and said it did not behave like this. I
tested and confirmed this behavior, and can see why it might be
irritating.

Is this behavior something that can be changed so that a call on a
non-primary line does not take focus when it isn't being managed on that
phone?
