Hello Guys -
Sorry about that - it transpired that ISP has misconfigured DTMF-relay on
their on-site router.
Thank you, as always,
Nikola

Subject: [cisco-voip] DTMF Relay Problem
Hello Guys -
I am having a problem with a small office that has just moved to a new
location/circuit; it runs CallManager 4.3.x and Unity 4.2.1 (to be upgraded
in a couple of months!), with a Cisco 2811 as a MGCP gateway with a single
PRI.
In their old location, they ran on a regular smartjack PRI without any
issues; now they are on a flexible circuit (6 bonded T1s, via ISP's on-site
3845), which still provides a PRI interface. Everything works fine, apart
from a DTMF relay problem on calls from PSTN. Basically, I am seeing
duplicate DTMF entries in the Port Status Monitor - in other words, if
someone pressess 9892, the port monitor shows 9988992; and then, after about
five to seven seconds, or a forward to a subhandler, no DTMFs are being
forwarded at all. (Incidentally, the same company has two more locations
with the same type of flexible circuit - with no problems whatsover.)
Now, I have checked CSCso87127, and have upgraded gateway's IOS to
12.4(15)T14; DMTF relay is set up for out-of-band in the MGCP configuration.
I am considering switching the gateway to H323 - and have opened a trouble
ticket with the ISP.
Has anyone seen this behavior before and/or has a suggestion?
Thank you, as always,
Nikola
P. S.: Happy holidays to everyone!
