Use “ntp master” on the router to server up NTP, then reset your
phones. 7961 use NTP, 7960 use clock, under telephony-server set your timezone
too -jason

If the clock on the router is
correct (and a timezone is specified), then the problem may be that the phone's
aren't using it.
If CCME, go into telephony-service and create cnf-files and reset the phone.

Hello guys,
i have a little problem with my my cisco ipphone 7961
i try to create NTP server but i don't understand how to use NTP server
my question is:
1. is it okay to make core switch become NTP server or i
need another server to create NTP server?
2. I read troubleshooting in cisco.com but i don't understand, does anyone can give
another easy step by step to change time stamp or date/time in
cisco IP Phone 7961?
