[cisco-voip] Software to rebuild a PUB / SUB

Nah, if you ask really, really nice of a TAC engineer and explain the desperate need, they can publish a bootable ISO of the exact version you need. They can’t do it as a general rule but if you have a system down or something….

The other thing to remember is all you need is a CD that understands your platform, then you can upgrade during install to pretty much any UPGRADE, just not a PATCH.

And let it be a further lesson to ensure you have the latest media for your current version. If when you upgrade from 7.x to 7.y or 7.y to 7.z, spend the few bucks and get a media kit. It's only a couple of hundred bucks list.

let it be a lesson to always keep your old media until you upgrade.

Last time I checked, which wasn't too long ago, media was no longer available via PUT. I needed 7.1(3) for the new HP DL380G6 and we only had 7.0(1).

We had to order with a SKU and pay the media cost of a hundred bucks I think.

Yes you would order it via PUT and get the 7.1.3 media shipped to you.

You can simply do the upgrade during install with the 7.1.2 DVD and the 7.1.3 upgrade file. At the beginning of the install it asks if you want to do an upgrade, select yes.

I'm still dealing with my dead SUB issue from a few days ago. Cisco is now hinting that it may be a misconfiguration during the initial install, or serious hardware failure. (The pub and the sub are not syncing databases)

anywhooo.... They're hinting I might need to rebuild again.

Last time, we ran the 7.1.2 dvd's that we got, and then did the upgrade to 7.1.3.

Is it possible to get the 7.1.3 DVD ISO right off of Cisco? i.e. skip a step and go right to correct release?

I was just on cisco's download site, and there is a link to the ordering page. Does this mean I have to order a DVD?
