Give this a shot?

Using the boot manual global configuration command, the module can be booted separately from the router

OK, I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but when I boot my 3945 I get the following error:

ilpm_fault-5-ilpm_warning: ether switch network modules with poe support need to be reloaded to function properly

I have no idea how to reload this thing. And reloading the router doesn't help.

I'm hunting down for some documentation (go figure) as a starting point, but just thought someone might have gone down this path before.
