I finally found the document....

but now, i'm session'ed to the switch module and can't get out!

Using the boot manual global configuration command, the module can be booted separately from the router

I have no idea how to reload this thing. And reloading the router doesn't help.
I'm hunting down for some documentation (go figure) as a starting point, but just thought someone might have gone down this path before.
