[cisco-voip] international calling ... preemption

Thanks Ted and Kevin!

I don't understand voice translation-speak well enough to know what I
just told it to do, but it seems to have put it into a format that my
carrier likes so I'm good to go! So thanks for that Ted.

Now all I gotta do is figure out how to fix the inbound calls to prepend
my off-net digit onto the caller id, so people can press redial from the
phone to have it make a valid call. :-)

Jon

Try this

voice translation-rule 1

 rule 1 // // type any international plan any isdn

!

voice translation-profile international

 translate called 1

dial-peer voice 1 pots

 translation-profile outgoing international

 destination-pattern 8011T

 Port 0/0/0:23

So I'm trying to set up some basic international calling on my H323
gateway. But I'm getting a preemption error in my Q931 debugs and a
fast busy on the phone. Is the problem on the Gateway or on the PSTN
side, and how can I tell?

Dial-peer voice 1 pots

Destination-pattern 9011............ (12 periods)

Direct-inward-dial

Port 0/0/0 :23

My Q931 looks something like this :

May 27 15:04:24.818: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8  callref =
0x0090

        Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2

                Standard = CCITT

                Transfer Capability = Speech

                Transfer Mode = Circuit

                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

        Channel ID i = 0xA98397

                Exclusive, Channel 23

        Calling Party Number i = 0x2181, 'mynumber'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:National

        Called Party Number i = 0x91, '011442074999000'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:International

May 27 15:04:24.878: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8
callref = 0x8090

        Cause i = 0xC088 - Preemption

Ideas?
