[cisco-voip] pauses in dialing strings supported in CallManager v7?

ok. i'm just a little confused by this.
are we saying that native CallManager FAC/CMC won't work with en-bloc dialing enabled?
also, what do they mean by "insert digits when directory dialing" ? randomly? or only when you press the key pad during dialing? meaning you can interrupt the dial string.

Lelio,
I believe that detail was specific to CM's native implementation of FAC/CMC. When going out to PSTN it is typically a matter of placing the call with out of band digits and then providing the code via inband digits.
Enbloc dialing is faster and less susceptible to error. Digit at a time allows problems such as:
CSCso95186 Third generation phones insert digits when directory dialing
I also updated the Release-note so we can all find this faster next time.

Thanks Wes!
I see that the bug says a work around is to press the speaker first, then enter the number, which makes sense. But the firmware release notes says CMC and FAC does not work at all. :(

Is there any benefit to enbloc dialing?

I believe pauses are an outstanding feature request. There have been workarounds on H.323 gateways.
For 40/60v42/62 I believe the difference is going to be enbloc dialing. 42/62 switched to enbloc dialing where 40/60 always uses digit-at-a-time.
For some background see:

i'm sure v8.7 can do magic, but i'm just wondering about CallManager v7 ?
we have a corporate directory that includes extensions.
i just noticed that the 7942/62 balks when trying to dial this string of full numbers, but the 7940/60 work just fine.
thoughts?
