[cisco-voip] CUCM V8 Raid array configuration

Cisco pretty much has no wiggle room if it supports 2x 146gb or whatever as Raid 1 (mirroring).

Bill,
I wanted to utilize the 4 hard drives i have for this server, and use a Raid 5, however once that is configured via the HP Raid Array, i insert the CUCM V8 Install disk and it immediately changes the array back to Raid 0+1 and only 2 drives, the other two drives are unassigned.

Yes the model is on the supported hardware list, its an MCS 7835H2, just re read the Data sheet and it says only supports raid 1.

I don't understand your question. The software configures the drives based on the install script. You should not need to modify anything.

Anyone tell me why cucm v8 only let's you install raid 0+1 with 2 hard
drives?  I have an mcs 7835 with 8 bays for drives, unity connection
install is the same way why !?!? Any help around this road block is much
appreciated.
