I don’t think you need a cube license if you are setting your dial-peer to use SIP and have it terminate on CUCM. If you are getting the original calling leg from a TDM interface and sending it via SIP to CUCM I don’t think you need the CUBE license. IT is only if both call legs on the router come in as VOIP, as long as one is a POTS leg you are fine.

Some of this is true, some not.

Basic guideline - any time you have a SIP trunk you need a CUBE.  This includes CME, CUCM, CUCM-SME, etc.

Any time you have a CUBE (CME, 2800/3800, 2900/3900, ASR) you need licensing.

The licensing is not enforced on any platform, but there are plans.  CUSP is licensed and enforced however.

That’s not the case. CME even with the 2900s has the license needed to do SIP trunks to the PSTN.

2800 series.this is true....2900/3900 series need cube license is: expensive. I think we quoted 75 sip sessions cost  $6,000.00
