Hi,

We currently have 7400 users in UC 7.1(5) with two telephony system integrations, one with UCM 7.1(5)[SCCP] and one with a traditional PBX through a TIMG[SIP].

There are 3160 users on the PBX side and 4240 users on the UCM side. Out of the 3160, there is a group of 2300 users that are the students dorms. We gave admin rights in Unity Connection for the dorms employees, so that they can manage their residents. Each day, they have move/add/changes. And each day, multiple times a day, they build distribution lists(DL) so that they can reach students for different reasons.

For example: they know each nationality, student's status, age, etc. So, someone builds a query in a database and extracts to a .csv file. Then, the UC admin tries to build a DL from that .csv file with the tool < Distribution List Builder > and boum!!! Up goes the CPU and delays like "Please enter your pin..............New messages......................1.............".

So my issue is that when they build a DL it affects the voicemail system for everyone! I know it's not the best way they could use to reach out for their students, but they've doing it this way for years and they're saying "Hey, the old system used to do it with no problems at all!" which is very true :(

Could it be that the serial link which is used the SMDI can't deal with that much MWIs? Any idea how I can work out this issue ?

Thanks and regards.

Sandy
