Monica,
When the calls outbound to PSTN are on hold and fail to play music, what does the output of "sho voip rtp connections" look like? Can you see a call where the remote IP is the Mcast group? Likewise, in your IP-IP call, if you point a webbrowser at your IP Phone which is on-hold, do you see the MCAST group as the Local Address?
Regards
James.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Multicast MOH remote site
I am trying to get the remote router to do moh from the flash. It works fine on incoming calls to the PSTN, but neither outgoing PSTN calls work or local IP to IP phones work. I just get dead air. I know my CCM config is correct because i have the same setup working in other remote locations. On the router where the moh file is on the flash I have all of the necessary commands needed to make this work as i have done at other sites. I have the ccm-manager music-on-hold, the pim statements under the loopback and local interfaces. Under the call-manager-fallback i have the multicast moh statement with all of the local and loopback interfaces i even added the phones default gw. I also have the moh command there pointing to the flash. There is a second gw at this site and i have put the ip pim statements under the local and loopback interfaces. Do i also need to put the ccm-manager music-on-hold on this router too?
Any tips the MRGL is assigned to the device pool and the common device profile has the sources listed. I have copied this setup from another few sites that all work fine.
I did try to reboot the first router, but that did not help
Any ideas on what to look at?
