Are you thinking this is my first time? A virgin? <girn> My only concern is the old Unity Connection 1.2 being able to work with CallManager 8.5(1) for a day….the rest I’ve done enough times to make me sick..
I could swap the order and check if I do Unity Connection 1.2 to 8.5(1) with CallManager 4.1…..just too much work to do both in 1 night…

You probably know this already, but to go from 4.x to 8.x with DMA, I'm pretty sure you need to do a 'bridged' upgrade via 7.x (I think that's what it's called).
This is because the last DMA is for v7. Licensing will give you licenses fir the purpose of this upgrade.

For a short period of time I’d like to run Unity Connection 1.2(1) which has SCCP ports with CallManager 8.5(1). Unity Connection 1.2 isn’t supported anymore, we are migrating to Unity Connection 8.5(1) but I wanted to do CallManager 4x to 8x upgrade the first night, and Unity Connection 1.2 to 8.5 upgrade the second night. All new hardware so using DMA and COBRAS.
