[cisco-voip] Phones losing ringtone list

I'd probably do some basic troubleshooting:

    • unplug/plug back in
    • move to a network where you know other phones are working
    • erase configuration on phone, reboot
    • release lease information, reboot
    • delete from CallManager, restart TFTP server, recreate phone

i'll bet the unplugging fixes it. we've had a few that simple lose the ring list and that has fixed it.

This problem is specific to 2 sets only. They are registered with the same call manager as the other sets.

did you bring over the ringlist with your upgrades? sometimes that get's lost. especially if you're building from scratch.

Did they register / TFTP to a different box? I wonder if the ringlist was not available.

We have recently upgraded to CUCM 8.5. Not sure if our CUCM upgrade has anything to do with this particular problem but ….. we did a mass roll-out of about 100 IP Sets and 2 of the new sets, after registering and functioning normal for several days have lost their ringtone list. Any ideas….?
