[cisco-voip] Branch Office CME SIP trunk question

Is there an easier way, since I actually don't need the sip trunk 
status, just the ip connectivity status.
Could I run a local http service on the CME that displays an icon on the 
CME phone when the ip connection to
the HQ is down.
