The compatibility matrix helps you find which is the first version which supports a device, it will have a default device load:

for the ATA-187, the first release is 7.1(5b) in the 7.x train, and 8.0(3a) in the 8.x train. Of course, you have to remember that some minor releases are built from a specific major release so you can find a higher level minor release that doesn't have support, i.e. if 8.1 is built from 8.0(3) then 8.0(3a) will have support but 8.1 may not.

It will point you to the software download files. 

You should be able to get things working with 7.1(3) if you can install the QED file...remember, this needs to be installed on all servers I believe and then you have to install the firmware on your TFTP servers.

I cannot see or add the device within CUCM. 



Do I possibly need to load a device pack?
