You would need to set the extension mask to their extension such as XXXX, then translate that to the external mask by using route patterns/lists. The top of the phone under callmanager is always their external mask.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Extension instead of External Phone Number Mask

Hi guys, can someone tell me if there is a way instead of showing the External Phone Number Mask on the phone, Extension number to be showed. I need to use External Phone Number Mask option but the customer doesn't want to be shown on the phone, they want the extension number...and I totally understand them :)

Regards
