Just an FYI, don't migrate anything to 9.0. Wait a little bit for 9.1

There were soo many licensing changes right before 9.0 shipped that didn't make it into the product. So instead of fixing it in 9.0, you just get CUWL Premium for most everything then you need to re-do the licenses when you get 9.1.

So I got to installing the new v9.0 ELM software yesterday. I understand it's the first version of the software, but I was surprised at a few things. Thought I'd share, maybe they can make their way to the BU.

    • there's a completely different GUI (I was pretty sure there was talk about making all the interfaces similar)
        • now, i haven't seen any other v9 software, so if it's all moving in this direction, great!
    • not auto-redirect from http:// to https:// (not a big deal I guess)
    • a link from the ELM GUI to the OS Admin brings up the old GUI
    • there are links in the old GUI to Unified CallManager Administration and Serviceability that give database errors when selected/attempt to log in (understandable since there's no CallManager installed, but why the links in the first place?)
    • would be nice to have LDAP/AD integration for users (again, not a big deal, but it would provide consistency)

Thought I'd share

Lelio
