[cisco-voip] CCX 4.05 License file on server?

Wow, thanks for this VoIP Guy. In the end, Cisco generated a new license
file for me based on a screen shot I provided them.

The license files are stored in CUCM's DC Directory.

If you open up DC Directory on the Publisher, you will be able to find a
BLOB representation of the uploaded text file.

Path in my old version of CUCM is:

Directory -> cisco.com -> CCN Apps -> <IPCX cluster name> ->
ClusterSpecific.<largest-number> -> License.<large number> ->FLEXlm.<large
number> -> list of licenses on right pane

Good luck with the BLOB representation of the text file but thought I would
mention it to stop you searching for it on the IPCX server when it is stored
elsewhere natively.

Sure if you actually installed the server... However when the system was
installed by another partner there's not much you can do about it.

I don't know about you guys, I used to follow the procedure as described in
the Cisco CRS 4.0(4) installation guide (see below) and always created
c:\crslicense and a folder on a network shared drive for backup etc.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Step 5 When you receive your license file, save it on one of these
computers:

. On the server on which you will install or upgrade Cisco CRS

. On any computer that you will be able to access from the server on which
you

will perform the cluster setup or upgrade procedure

You can save your license files in any folder. Make a note of the folder
name and

location because you will need it later. Do not rename a license file.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought. Cisco Licensing team tells me I need to
extract it from the server, but can't tell me where it's located.

Gotta love licensing..

The best you can do is take a screen shot or get them to webex in and
confirm... been there done that and that was the only solution becuase the
file was not saved on the box.

Hi Guys,

Fun times with Cisco UC licensing! J Does anybody know where in the windows
file structure I can find the installed license file for Contact Center
Express 4.x? I need to send this file to Cisco so they can generate a new
one for upgrade purposes.

Thanks!

Ryan
