[cisco-voip] Dial Tone Delay

All,

I have some 7940 phones that were formerly registered to UCM across a WAN.
Business change occurred and phones are now registered locally to CME 9.0.
Phones are running the latest firmware. Issue is that when you hang up on
the 7940s from either a call or just getting dial tone and either go off
hook or hit the speaker button dial tone is delayed 1 to 3 seconds. New
7942 phones don’t have the delay at all. 7940s are reported as not having
this issue when registered to UCM across the WAN. Doing a wireshark is
problematic but can be done as a last resort.

Phones--à3560 Switch---àASA5510---à2911 Running CME 9.

Not the optimal setup I know but business requirements mandated it. Anyone
have any ideas on what might be causing the delay on the 7940s but not the
7942s?

Regards,
