[cisco-voip] Configuring a SIP trunk on CM7.x

It's easy to configure a SIP trunk on CCM7 and DDIs (or DIDs as called here in NANPA) are not adversely affected. However you will need a CUBE to perform address hiding as it is best practice. Please read up on these bits in the CCM SRND.

CCM7 <-> CUBE <-> ITSP

You might require an MTP for inbound calls to work properly but it's not a big deal AFAIK.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Configuring a SIP trunk on CM7.x

Dear All,

A failure on our ISDN30 (E1) circuit this morning has prompted re-discussion of SIP trunks.

How easy is a SIP trunk to configure on a CM7.x server and how does it affect DDI’s?

Any info would be appreciated.

Rob
